National Infrastructure Plan Allocates ₹4,500 Cr for Eastern Rail Freight Corridors

NEW DELHI — The Union Ministry of Railways has announced a fresh capital allocation of ₹4,500 crore for accelerating eastern freight corridor connectivity across Bihar and Jharkhand.

The expansion is expected to boost agricultural supply chain efficiency for regional food grains, pulses, and silk products originating from South Bihar districts.
